A Date With Paris: Skirt Review

Another great find from ChicWish.  I'm really enjoying this shop.  The quality is great and the prices are about half what I would expect to pay at other vintage style market places.  I love this print.  Bernie Dexter used it for a sweet dress last year, but it was a little out of my price range.  I considered buying the fabric (it's called Michael Miller Essentials Paris Ville Multi in case you're interested) to make my own. My sewing skills were pretty basic at the time (and still are) and I knew I would most likely just make a mess so I abandoned the idea for a while.
Then this skirt popped up on sale for $42.  I considered buying the fabric again, but after calculating the cost, I decided I wouldn't really save much money by making it myself.  So, I decided to try my luck with ChicWish again.
Pros:  Great fit, and I love the extra length and the print is fantastic.  Love the pockets and it was a cinch to iron in spite of all the pleats.
Cons:  This is one noisy skirt.  It definitely won't be for casual wear, but that's ok, I can save it for special occasions. Everything else is aces and I can't wait to wear it to the beautiful public gardens here.

  1. I saw this skirt on your blog and I immediately ordered the Simplicity pattern and the fabric to make my own since it's no longer available. Thank you! I love your blog and your feminine vintage style. Happy Fourth! J. xx
