Wild Blossoms

I admit a little jealousy crept in this spring when I drove by all those city homes with yards and lanes covered in snowy pink blossoming trees.  My jealousy was short lived however, it just took my shy little mountain top trees a couple of weeks longer to appear.  Puffs of pink and white dotted the mountainside and I was ready to open all the windows and be outside again.
One particular morning I was off to work in my handmade map skirt from a couple of years ago when I was still new at sewing, and decided to snap a few pics with the pink puffs.  Every now and then I see this skirt in stock at various shops, but I had to make my own and if you're interested, you can probably still find this fabric around.  Take a look at my original post about this skirt for all the sewing info.
While my spring fever lasted, I decided to would be the perfect time to reread Heidi and snap a pic of my copy's uber cute jacket design.  This story never gets old for me or my girls.  we always like to revisit our favorites much like my favorite fashions.
